THE GREAT "DON ZEE" ARTIST ON THE RISE!!!

I had the pleasure of sitting down with recording artist Don Zee while in Jamaica during the Christmas holidays and I must say fam, I had mad fun!

He is a perfectionist and there is nothing wrong with that. He gets the job done.

Check out this Twenty minute footage of my time with this versatile artist.

FOLLOW DON ZEE

Don Zee born Dwayne Benjamin on the 21st of January 1989 in the parish of Clarendon, he moved to St. Catherine (Spanish Town) at a very early stage in his life. While in St. Catherine he attended the Eltham Park Primary school. He wrote his first song while he was in the 5th grade at Eltham Park Primary
but out of fantasy than anything else. He grew up in a family where his parents were of different lifestyles, his mother was a god faring person and goes to church on a regular basis and his father was a Sound System Operator and would go to dances and parties.

During his childhood years his mother and father got separated, in light of that he would visit his father while school was on holidays. While on holiday with his father they would go to parties together and from those experiences he developed the real love for music and started writing more songs, he continued to keep his talent to himself. It wasn't until the 10th grade he began to showcase his talent which he began going to recording studios to record and also perform in communities.
After leaving high school in 2006 his brother, Damion ‘STAR-D’ Benjamin, who was by then a professional musician (bassist), was living in Kingston, St. Andrew. His brother had also
developed an extra talent in making rhythms, but it wasn’t until the death of their mother,
Beverly Benjamin, in 2007 they came together and started on their musical journey. They
worked together making rhythms and recording from a home studio (STAR-D PRODUCTION)
where they lived. Their hard work began to pay off when their music began to circulate in the
community they live in, Waterford, Portmore.

Feel like your music career is stagnant???

If you feel like your music career is stagnant then maybe it is. Artists need to understand the business end of the industry before they can take on the task of promoting their own music.

That's basic common sense.....

It doesn't make sense you create these amazing projects for them to sit on a studio hard drive.

You have to know how to market and who to market your work to. if you don't want to do that, if its too heavy for you, then I can only suggest that you hire a PR person/company that can help with that.
