Ft Lauderdale little secret "Jango Fresh"

So a friend of mine Nuttsy invited me to a little rehearsal gig and at first I was hesitant becasue of baby mother duties etc. So I made up my mind to go and take baby Brooke becasue he said it was a kid friendly zone. So I got to the venue and who's on stage?
The great Jango Fresh and King Taffa!!

FT. Lauderdale yall need to wake up and pay attention to what Jango Fresh is saying. His lyrics range from a beautiful woman and her attributes to the realities of the lies and evil atrocities in the world today.

He laid it out all out in his lyrics...
He talked about Bobby brown failing as a father, he talked about the Jamaica soccer team failing to win against Mexico. I have attached a lot of the videos for you to check them out!
Big up to DJ  Craig Love and the Kingman who made me feel so welcome. Love the NRG!!!!!!

The night only got sweeter when Nkruma showed up!  Have you heard SHUT UP!!!!!! ? hmmmm. you better hit up Nkruma on that. as a matter of fact hit me up if you want dub plates form these artist. You cant be playing sound system in FT lauderdale and not shutting down the place with our artist dub plates!

The vybe was so electric even yours truly got a piece of it.  See video below.
At the end of the night Jango Confirm what I always knew that he is no doubt one of the baddest artist in Ft Lauderdale. I never see another artist free style with such ease.
I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing Jango Fresh on a stage again! So I begging the promoters to start doing more live shows! We have plenty of parks here in Ft. Lauderdale.!

I want Ft Lauderdale to be known as the Live show Capital in the Florida Diaspora.

Reggae, Dancehall, lovers rock all these different genre produces a plethora of different female artist. So What sells? Is it sex, mix up or a positive message? A lot of people will say the sex sells faster that hot bread in comparison to the others. But there are females out there, that can relate to all three so there is  a need for all three and yet the female artist in the Biz aren't getting enough air play according to Shuga and Ikaya and i must agree with them.

There are so many talent female artist out there but it seems like they will never get  a buss unless they do something drastic or degrading just to get their toe on the door step.

Some female artist make sense, some use their real life experience to tell a story. I love that. Thats one of the reasons why I love Ishawna.  I love her music, her style and I can relate to her in terms of abuse and im sure others can as well.

Now i want to mention a few artist on the rise that i believe more djs need to pay attention to. Artist such as Posh Morris, Kim Weirdo, Natessah Streem and Da real Storm just to name a few. They are all different and they all have something to say. Kim Weirdo lives up to her name. I tell you, she is weird but I like it. Weird means different and its always good to be different from the norm. Check out her videos on YouTube. You wont be disappointed. Follow here on Facebook  as well. we need to start supporting our female artist more. I just heard Lady Saw's interview Onsatge before her show at Reggae Sumfest and she was saying she making History becasue no female artist never close the show before. Wow! I was shocked, nah tell no lie fam. And base ont the reviews you already no say Saw mash up the place!!!

Put the female artist on more shows man! Let them close the shows man!

Posh Morris is a household name already. Many will remember her from when she participated in the Jamaican Cultural Development Commission competitions and was awarded, gold, silver and bronze medals in different categories. She went on to study performing arts at Excelsior Community College and Edna Manley School of Visual and Performing Arts. So as you can see she's on a mission and she a put in wuk!... follow her on social media sites

When we talk about an artist such as Nateesha Stream an RnB singer from Kingston Jamaica, who's worked with Buju Banton, Gyptian, Busy Signal, Coco Tea, Warrior king, Lutan fyah, Queen Ifrica, some big name bran artist and yet I dont hear her music being played like it should I cant help but to shake my head and say a wah gwan?  It just dont mek no sense fam. Obvioulsy she's talented, look at who's she's worked with and I'm sure if she wasn't doing her thing she woudnt work with these artist. Support her man! Her resume says it all, performances world wide, in the States, Europe, Japan to name a few. She's performed on Reggae Sumfest, Sunsplash, St. Mary mi come from, rise to the occasion and many more.
Step pon dem Mumma Storm. Open up the doors willingly or Storm just gonna blow it down. Love her message. She encourages you to be confident and reminds us that we are lion and lioness. Many relate to her because she talks about life and the many ups and downs and how you can get thru it. Nothing last for ever. Follow her fam.....

Listen, I know there are so many talented female artist out there. I cant name all of them but when i get the chance to share their messages i will. If i cant do anything else i can surely share their work. They all have something to offer. Its a big world so many will gravitate to what the individual is saying.
One thing i must blast out. Dont sell your soul for vanity. Be yourself and do your music the way you want to. Some will like and some wont like. Just do it .....

Review of Nkruma Earthstrong "Neva get it mi bah wid it"

Where were you on Saturday?  If you wasn't at Zues HQ bwoy you missed a great show! It was Epic
Call them Local artist if you want to, but they showed up and turn up the fyah so high this one will have to go down in the history books!
Shout out to Nkruma for putting together this amazing cast of talented artist that helped him celebrate his birthday in fine style.  I cant wait to see this type of show in a park soon! Shout out to all the sponsors and all those who made this dream a reality. Street Peeple, DWAHS Band and Nicky Blaze promotions!
A Big thank you to  Teacha and Culture Callie for opening the show...

Listen, yall ever check out Moses I and Jah Lando?? Mi nah lie family, i sure did enjoy this set. Words of wisdom and encouragement from the two, sent the crowd into a frenzy. Full throttle performance. Their energy was out of this world. You have to follow Jah Lando on Facebook and all the other social media sites to see whats next for the Two.
The night only got better when one of my favs hit the stage. I would like to think when he decided to drop "There goes my Baby" he was thinking of me.

Lee Kelly voice is undoubtedly one that you will never ever forget. So sultry so thick and sweet like hot chocolate on a rainy night. I look forward to listening and watching him perform.

It was time for the man of the hour and Denise serenaded him with the happy birthday song before Nkruma went center stage.

He says "Mi neva get it mi ban wid it" Family, you better believe it. I love the message and the fyah that burns within this artist. He encourages us to be Go Getters but at the same time he will tell the nonsense whistlers, the nae sayers, the negative people to "Shut up"

Nkruma is one of those artist that is aware of his talent and greatness and yet he's quite humble.

Happy Bday Nkruma!

Of course I got supper excited to introduce the next artist on stage.

Who's fresher that Jango fresh?

No sah! Jango conquered this stage ee see family.. His performance was top notch! Lyrical content up deh, stage presences up deh. Standing in the crowd I could feel the energy sky high. Then of course my favorite part is when he invited me on stage. I loved every second of it. Not becasue the spotlight was on us but because of the message in the song he was singing. he made me feel so special, a woman such as myself with all the natural attributes that god gave. I didn't or should I say I don't have to expose myself to get attention. Love that so much! You can't go wrong with Jango on your roster.

It was time for me to hand over the baton and i wouldn't want to hand it over to anyone else but one my flexxfm.com radio family member.
Winner of Jamaica Comedy Bus, the one and only "Gunter nah laugh" He made sure he informed the party patrons where he's from. "Wich part mi come from!!!!!" the next time you see Gunter ask him "wich part him come from" The scond half of the morning was off to a start when Gunter introduced Menny More, another veteran in the business. Menny More has been on tours around the world delivering hits such as Gunman, Grow your dreadlocks, so you must expect his delivery to be up to par. On this night he started out with one of my favs  "A Bit of my soul"   a very powerful message. Make sure you follow Menny More on all the social media sites as well.
Last But not lease, Ft Lauderdale's #fiwiartist Speng Beng had an exceptional performance as usual. We all know once Speng says "When the you know what rise at sunrise the roof came off. I think this is one of the anthem for ft Lauderdale because he never fails when he performs this song.

It got a little out a hand when one of the artist he introduce decided to clash just because he was in the mood. Come on now! you gonna Clash Speng??? on his stage? Well he learned the hard way didn't he. All and all the show was excellent. And as usual my complaints are time factor and punctuality.  But more promoters need to book our Ft Lauderdale artist on their upcoming shows. These artist out performed alot of the so call name brand artist  that have graced a stage in Ft lauderdale and dissolved quite rapidly. I can inform you family that no bottle neva throw and no boos never blow!

So to all the artist that performed. Guess what?? Well Done. I can't wait to host another event such as this. You can find more  pictures by clicking the link  http://flexxfm.com/gallery/indstreets/nkruma
