so let me tell you family about the INDICATOR show at Karu on Friday. First off Karu was a good look. "nah lie" ambiance up deh. well Spice was a no show, (unless she was chilling in her car but if she neva mek di stage then she was a no show)
Boom Boom didn't play and Foota Hype could have stayed in Jamaica and not waste the Zodiac Promotions, Bigstone Productions and every body else who attended the event. should not have wasted my money or time. I'm so sick of some of these promoters constantly booking so call name brand artist, selectors, sound systems to be apart of their show and at the end of the night Mr promoter your party flap...not cause you didn't promote it, not cause you didn't have people there but its the crosses people you have on ur flyer... When are you gonna learn people!!!!!!! You have to know what you doing. you cant put a bunch of so call name bran on your flyer and none don't turn out to make one. That's foolishness.
All the time yall go around #fiwiartist dem right here in ft lauderdale and bring in people that cannot intro themselves must less finish their segment. Big up to all #fiwiartist them cause at the end of the day yall made that party look and sound good. The disrespect is getting too much!!!! Stop fighting these up coming artist! stop it. you book them on a show and then u bring in pi pi artist to do what? sing for crickets?.. why i do what i do? And in a place that is not up to par for the Aristocrats and the bourgeoisie who are most times overly critical of our/their culture and reggae music. Noooo..... You will not find these people in this place. Because in this place #GIDDIHQ life imitate's art and you will experience it when you show up to one of these Monday nights at #GIDDIGOTTALENT (9PM TO 12AM) 

I think, i believe, that for an artist to grow, he/she needs to be able to see his/her mistakes and appreciate his/her good days. Sometimes constructive criticism is not welcomed. Some might see it as a jab at their craft and so egos often times get bruised. but when you leave a video foot print so they can see themselves maybe then they will see what others are seeing, hearing and experiencing.
if an artist decides to watch back his/her performance (LIKE A GOOD ARTIST WOULD) they will see the transition from start to finish, hence the artist will identify his/her weaknesses, the artist will start learning about multitasking while on stage; meaning while you are performing you have to pay attention to the crowd. You have to learn your crowd get to know who they are, so when you're on stage you will know when they either had enough of YOU or they are enjoying every bit of your performance.

It's a good look inside Karu this Friday. I'm lovin the line up for this event. This will be my first time seeing Spice perform along with Foota hype, Boom, Fambo, so I'm looking forward to that. so fam last week a new artist showed up at #GIDDIGOTTALENT. shout out to J-Stone for rolling thru with this said artist. Little did i know, i would be in for a treat. Even tho i should have known better, i mean, J-Stone usual roll with some pretty awesome artist. So i wasnt too quick to judge. Cut along story short, this artist must have drop about 15 songs and every one was hit!


Hits after hits after hits after hits...and to top it off, he's never performed live onstage like that before. what? WTF>..get the heck outta here. Impressive, talented, energetic. He's a make-sense type of an artist. Kool, smooth.

One of the most amazing thing i noticed tho fam about Tafari, as i observed him after he performed, he sat at the front of the crowd and listen to all the artist that performed after him. i mean truly listen to them family, you could tell he was genuinely entertained and that was a good look. some artist don't even want to give another artist a compliment much less sit and watch a performance.

JERK FEST IS AROUND THE CORNER!!

SUNRISE, FL - The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival organizers will be adding even more value to the 15th annual event on Sunday, November 13, at Markham Park in Sunrise. The organizers will be showcasing the best in all areas, food, entertainment and athletics -- YES, Athletics! Sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see two-time Olympic Gold medalist Elaine Thompson who will be making an appearance at this year's event!

Elaine is the Double Olympic Gold Medal winner from the 2016 Rio Olympics where she won Gold in the 100m and 200m.  Elaine also won Silver in the Olympic 4x100m in Rio as a part of the Jamaican team. Elaine is the Jamaican National Record Holder in the 100m and the 4th fastest woman to run the 100m in the history of the World.

Patrons will have an opportunity to meet and greet as well as take photographs with the Olympic Champion.  John Collins, Managing Director of International Freight Consolidators was quoted as saying, "we are extremely happy to be able to assist with bringing Elaine to the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival and have her meet the lovely people of South Florida."

The event will be fitting for the Olympic Champion who is currently a student at the University of Technology, Jamaica and has earned a certificate in Baking Technology from Utech, and is now pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management and Culinary Arts. Don't be surprised if the Olympic Champion shows up in the Publix Culinary Pavilion, grabs an apron and displays her cooking skills.

 

The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival provides an avenue for patrons from all sectors of the community to share in the rich culture of the Caribbean. Gates open at 10 a.m. and the fun goes until headliner Shaggy closes the Main Stage at 10 p.m.  General admission tickets are on sale for $30 online at www.jerkfestival.com or at selected retail outlets in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
